What to write…

Filed under: Wedding Guest Books — Diane @ 3:34 pm

If you’ve ever been a guest at a wedding, you’ll know how difficult it can be to write a message in the bride and groom’s wedding guest book.  Sometimes it just comes to you and you know exactly the right thing to say, but other times there’s just a mental block that refuses to go away.

You want to write a message that is full of sentiment – but without leaving tear marks blurring the words on the page.  Full of love, without sounding like you’re after the groom.  Funny, but not making fun.  Heartfelt, but not deathly serious.  It can be a fine balancing act that’s hard to get right.

The most important advice we can give you when it comes to writing a message in a wedding guest book is to write from the heart and leave all the embarrassing, funny stories of the Hen Night out.  Mention your hope for their future, how thankful you are to have shared in their day and most definitely what a wonderful wedding it has been.
