Wedding Stationery List
There’s a whole list of things to sort out if you are planning a wedding – and the stationery you’ll need deserves a list all of its own.
Save the date cards are the first port of call as it will give everyone the chance to put your wedding date into their diary and make any travel or accommodation plans well in advance.
Wedding invitations are next and confirm the date and details of the wedding. RSVP cards are important too and many couples choose to include these in with the initial wedding invitation. These serve to give your guests a fast and simple way to respond to the invite.
Don’t forget the evening invites if you are inviting some people only to the evening reception, rather than the actual ceremony. Again, don’t forget the RSVPs!
Orders of service aren’t for everybody but worth considering to let your guests know the timings of the day.
Once the ceremony has happened, we move onto the reception venue and it is here that you will need placecards for your guests to find their seat if you are having a sit-down meal. Along with these you might find wedding table plans useful so that people aren’t left wandering the room, trying to read every placecard in search of their own name! It is also recommended that you have several wedding table plans, especially for larger weddings so that everyone is not gathered around a single board trying to locate themselves.
After the wedding, thank you cards are called for, thanking your guests for any gifts they have given to you. You may also wish to thank anybody who helped to organise your wedding, bridesmaids, etc. Thank you cards which match your wedding invitations is a lovely touch to finish everything off and serve as a great keepsake for your guests.
