Pink is a colour we have always associated with femininity and girlyness. From the day little girls are born, parents are inundated with pink baby grows, booties, toys, everything you can imagine, but always in pink. Maybe this is why so many brides make pink their colour of choice for their special wedding day, as it is synonymous with all things feminine. And what could be more girly then a bride’s wedding day.

Colour trends and fashions are constantly changing, but for brides pink remains one of the favourites, with many celebrities choosing to do all things pink on their wedding day. Who could forget Katie Price’s pink Cinderella extravaganza! But it doesn’t have to be as extreme as that.

There are so many different shades of pink to choose from, the palette ranges from soft subtle baby pink for a more delicate look or you could go to the other end of the spectrum and opt for a bright, bold flamingo pink, for a vibrant feel.  Then there are all the shades in between. If you wanted a contrast, you could mix and match bright shades with more pastel hues or maybe just add a splash of pink in a flower.

For those wanting to be ultra-colour co-ordinated, you could pick out the colour from the dress and match it to the flowers and the invites for that extra special feel.
