Table seating plans and wedding place names

Filed under: Wedding Place Cards, Wedding Table Plan — Diane @ 12:09 pm

Many people now decide to name the tables at their wedding instead of using a numbering system. A numbering system can unfortunately induce overtones of a hierarchy system, with those on table one being the most important guests and those on higher numbers the least important.

Many people choose table names that mean something too them, perhaps places they have visited over the years or favourite colours or even funny phrases or sayings. This is a great way to interact with your guests and can be a real talking point, especially if the guests who are sitting together have not met before.

Using wedding place cards you can organise your seating arrangement perfectly and can keep the theme of your wedding on the same lines as your invitations and save the date cards. Place cards can be popped onto the seat place in order to avoid confusion after the guests have initially looked at the table plan at the entrance to the wedding breakfast room.

Using table place names you can choose who you want to seat together so can avoid potential conflicts of personality and so make the day run smoothly
