A Lotto Wedding!

Filed under: Wedding Table Plan — Sarah @ 1:01 pm

A bride-to-be has spoken of how she proposed to her partner of 13 years after they scooped more than £2m on the National Lottery!

Wayne French and Becky Harrison, from Beverley, East Yorkshire, said that the windfall meant they could now plan the wedding of their dreams.  Becky said that they had always wanted to get married but could never before afford to do it.  Becky asked her partner to marry her soon after she realised they had won £2.2m in Wednesday’s lottery draw.

The couple have never had a family holiday abroad before and they have four children together so top of their shopping list will be a family holiday.  After that they can get on with planning their wedding and will be able to afford the very best of everything – from their wedding table plans to the bride’s dress!

If you are planning your wedding like Becky (but on a smaller scale!) then take a look at The Card Gallery’s range of wedding table plans and see if you can find something just as special for your big day.

Three Ideas to Make Personalised Engagement Party Invitations

Filed under: Engagement Party Invitations — Sarah @ 7:00 am

While you are shopping around for ideas for engagement party invitations, one thing that you will want to know is how to make them more personal. Personalised invitations are a great way to make it clear who the party is for and show that you have put the effort in. Personalising also makes the invites unique and something to be remembered. Here are some ideas for personalised options.

Photo Party Invitations

The first thing that you may want to do is add a photo of you and your partner to the engagement party invitations. This is a great option to make it clear who the invite is from without putting it into the wording. You can also give all of the information away through various photos. This is something fun to do to make the invitations and also a fun way to tell your guests where they need to be and when.

Magnet Invitations

Another option is to look at magnet engagement party invitations but this may be something that you want to save for your wedding invites. Magnets are something practical and will be placed on the fridge, so your guests will not forget the date. However, they can cost a fair amount of money, which is why you may want to save the idea for later.

Tell a Story

You could also opt to tell a story with your party invitations. One of the questions that you will be asked is how the proposal went. Instead of having to tell the story over and over again, put the story on your invitation so people know before they attend. This is also a great icebreaker, especially when it comes to inviting people that the bride- or groom-to-be do not know. You could also choose the story of how you met for your engagement party invitations.
