Do You Need Paper Birthday Thank You Cards?
When it comes to sending out birthday thank you cards, it is likely that you are instantly thinking about sending physical cards out. However, it is possible to do everything online through email cards and these are something worth thinking about. There are pros and cons to email thank you cards and here are just some to consider.
How Did You Send the Invites?
The first thing to think about is how you sent out the invites for the birthday party. If you used paper-based invitations then you may want to be consistent with the birthday thank you cards. However, you do not have to; consistency is more of a personal choice.
Quick and Easy
Sending an email is much quicker and easier than sending out physical birthday thank you cards. You will be able to type a few words and send out a bulk email within a few seconds – and the cards are received quickly instead of using “snail mail”.
A Free Option
Unless you will see all of the guests from the party in person, sending birthday thank you cards in the mail does cost money – and the cost of stamps is constantly increasing. Sending the cards via email is completely free to do and a great way to reach out to your out of town and overseas guests.
Less Personal
The problem though is that email thank you cards are less personal than the physical ones. This is especially the case if you decide to send a bulk email out to everyone. Some people prefer to receive the physical cards because it shows that you do appreciate their gifts and the fact that they attended the birthday party.
Not Everyone Has Email
Not all of the guests will have an email account to receive email birthday thank you cards. There are chances that you will still need to have some paper ones for some of your guests. This is something to think about before you make the decision of one option over the other.
