Choosing your wedding photos

Filed under: Wedding Photo Albums — Diane @ 9:00 am

Deciding on the photographer for your wedding is a really tough decision. You will be looking back on your wedding photographs for years to come, so it’s important that you choose someone who will do the sorts of photographs that you like. But how do you know which style you prefer?

It’s a great idea to sit down with your photographer and go through the options with him; discussing which styles might be best for each point of the day.

For example, for the photographs that the photographer takes when you have just got married, you might want some classic black and white images. These can give off a feeling of romance and elegance that is perfect for those sorts of photos where you’re staring lovingly into one another’s eyes in the gardens of the wedding venue.

But later, for the reception photos, you may want coloured photographs, to capture the lively atmosphere and of course to show off all the guests’ lovely outfits.

A mixture of different styles is perfect for any wedding and of course, the finished photographs will look great in your wedding photo albums.

Being the unofficial bridesmaid

Filed under: Wedding Help & Advice — Diane @ 9:00 am

Not all couples will have bridesmaids at their wedding. In fact, these days a lot of people are finding it increasingly difficult to choose bridesmaids for their big day as they don’t want to offend friends or family members and find it difficult to choose between them.

But just because there aren’t any official bridesmaids, that doesn’t mean that you can’t perform bridesmaid duties to help out the couple and to make the experience a lot more pleasant for them.

For example, as their friend or family member, you could help out with the wedding stationery; perhaps you could help to choose the design and then of course, you could help to send out the wedding invites and wedding evening invitations.

There are some tasks that a lot of couples find difficult to complete, such as the wedding table plan and as their friend or family member, you are the perfect person to help out with this and you could even give them a hand sorting through the wedding RSVP cards to make the wedding table plan easier.

Even if you are not an official bridesmaid, with a helping hand from you, your friend will be able to make her wedding planning a fun and manageable task.
