Guide your guests with a wedding programme and wedding order of service

Filed under: Wedding Order of Service — Diane @ 9:00 am

You’re bound to be nervous on your wedding day, but there will be some guests who will be a little nervous too; particularly if it’s a big occasion.

It’s important to remember that some guests won’t know many people at the wedding, if any at all and if you’ve planned a big wedding then the whole thing can feel a little overwhelming for them.

That’s why it’s important to make the event as easy as possible for all your guests; after all, you don’t want them turning up at the wrong venue at the wrong time.

You can resolve these problems with a wedding programme, which includes a wedding order of service. The opening of the wedding programme should list the names of the couple, the venue, date, time and locations and list the names of the bridal party as well as anyone else heavily involved in the ceremony. This will make it easier for guests to identify the important players at your big day.

The wedding order of service will help the guests follow the events of the day. Include information on hymns, vows, readings and always add notes in where guests are required to become involved.

You should also include information about the reception venue, including times and maps to get there.
Having all of this information to hand will help to make your guests feel at ease and you are all much more likely to enjoy the day.
