Reserve your guests with save the date cards

Filed under: Save The Date Cards — Jenny @ 9:00 am

Your boyfriend has finally proposed and now the race is on to organise the wedding. You’ve got so much to do that you’re not really sure where to start.

Well one of the first things that a lot of couples do is to decide when the wedding is going to take place. Firstly, you need to narrow it down to a season; so decide whether you want to get married in summer or winter for example. Then you need to decide on a date.

The minute you know the date that you want to get married, it’s time to let your guests know and that means ordering some save the date cards.

Save the date cards can be sent out to all of your guests, simply to let them know that you are getting married on a certain date. This allows them to put the date in the diary and it also allows them to make plans around the date. For example, if you’re having a summer wedding, they will book their summer holidays before or after your big day.

Save the date cards are a great way to announce your wedding and to also ensure that you are giving your guests a decent amount of notice.

Making your wedding decisions based on a theme

Filed under: Wedding Help & Advice — Diane @ 9:00 am

Once you have sent out your save the date cards, you can breathe a sigh of relief. You no longer have to worry about some of your guests double booking themselves and having prior arrangements on your big day so you can relax into your wedding preparations.

A lot of people struggle to know where to begin when it comes to planning a wedding, but one thing that can really help you to get a focus is deciding on a theme.

A theme can help you to make decisions about all sorts of aspects of your wedding. For example, if you have a flower theme, then this can help you to decide on your wedding stationery. You could choose a wedding invitation with a rose design or wedding invites with sunflowers on them to match your theme.

You could then choose your wedding table names to tie in with this theme. So you could opt for a different flower name for each table and have the design on the wedding table names to reflect these.

Once you have chosen a theme, it really helps you to bring your whole day together and to create a co-ordinated event that everyone will remember.
