History was made at the weekend when two babies were born to two sisters, on the same day! Shocked staff at the Western Isles Hospital claimed that they had worked in the hospital for over ten years and had never heard of this ever occurring before.
The most shocking thing was that the sisters were not even due on the same day. Donna gave birth to Jayden four weeks early and Norma’s little bundle of joy Cerys was a week overdue. The chances of such a thing to ever happen are so unusual.
The first arrival of the day came when Donna Macdonald gave birth to premature baby boy Jayden, weighing 5lb 12ozs, on Friday morning at 7.53am. Her sister followed suit in the evening, with 8lb baby girl Cerys being delivered at 6.31pm
Let’s hope Granny and Grandad are well prepared and stocked up with plenty of nappies!

A loving Mother and Father from Paisley have entered their ‘adorable’ baby daughter in a celebrity lookalike contest… as Gollum!
The parents say that Gollum, a hideous Lord of the Rings character, had often been compared to their one year old daughter Corrie Jane Mack. The couple entered little Corrie into the competition for a laugh; and were extremely shocked, yet thrilled, when she managed to reach the finals of the national
competition.
Mother and Father admitted that some people do not see the joke and think that they are being a bit cruel, but proud Mom Jenny made it clear that she thinks that her daughter is the most adorable thing in the world, and loves her to bits. Jenny also added that she is sure they are all to have a laugh about it when Corrie is grown up.
Baby Corrie Jane needs to fight off tough competition if she really wants to win BabyTV’s Celebritots. Rivalry comes in the form of other lookalike tots, including ‘Scary Spice’ and ‘Susan Boyle’ who are all chasing the £500 first Prize…

The traditional hen night consisted of a group of female friends getting together, wearing matching outfits and setting out to drink their bodyweight in alcohol. Stag nights weren’t much different.
But hen and stag nights have evolved over the years. And now, there are plenty of options to choose from.
Traditionally, hen and stag parties should never meet up. But recently, more and more couples have decided to hold joint hen and stag nights. The groups of hens and stags can start off separately, but can decide to meet up later on in the night.
If you want to steer clear of the strippers and L plates, then it might be a nice idea to begin the night with a meal. You and your friends can enjoy a few glasses of wine with your food to get the night off to a good start. You could opt for a sit down meal at home. But if you want to avoid the stress of organising it yourself, then invite your friends out to a restaurant before you hit the bars.
Of course, if a night out on the tiles is not for you, then there are other ways to spend your hen and stag nights. In fact, these days, you can choose to do anything that takes your fancy on your hen or stag do. It is your special night after all.
