Your Wedding Reception…Hints and Tips

Filed under: Wedding Help & Advice — admin @ 10:35 pm

When selecting the venue for your wedding reception, always try to choose somewhere with a nice relaxed area for guests who are wanting to sit down quietly and chat. Some of the older generation will not all want to boogie at the disco.

For a little bit of fun why not have a quiz? Incorporate questions that will be able to be answered by adults and children and offer a small prize for the winning table. Include questions about the newly married couple to make it that extra bit personal.

If you have spent extra care and attention on your floral centre pieces why not auction them off to your guests and donate the money to a charity. After weddings, flowers are often wasted and simply chucked away… therefore the auction is a great idea. Donate money to your selected charity and save waste!

If there are a group of children attending your wedding then many couples choose to have a ‘kids only’ table. Keep them entertained by filling it with lots of colouring books and games. Not only will this keep them happy, but it will also ensure moms and dads get some time out to enjoy the wedding celebrations.

For a personal keepsake, ask the reception venue to save the cork from the first bottle of champagne opened. Once your day is over, you can create a special memory box at home and fill it with special items to look back on for many years to come.

And remember, be sure to remind your new hubby to offer your mother a dance, she will be really chuffed!

The card Gallery offers a wide range of wedding invitations and stationery to compliment your special day.
