Colleen’s Baby Bump Growing By the Day!

Filed under: Baby Help & Advice — admin @ 11:13 pm

Today our favourite WAG Colleen Rooney proudly showed off her baby bump in St Tropez as she summed herself on her second holiday of the year, it’s alright for some!  However this time, her and husband Wayne Rooney were joined by friends as they soaked up the sun.

Colleen’s bump seems to be growing by the day, and the proud mother to be wasn’t scared to show this off as she sauntered around the beach in a blue stylish Grecian style bikini.

Colleen is six months pregnant with her first child, and the baby is ironically due on the same day that hubby Football star Wayne Rooney is due to play a vital world cup qualifier for England!

The expectant mother definitely was not taking things easy as she enjoying taking a ride on a jet ski, taking a break from her sunbathing.

Hubby Wayne was not missing out on the watersport fun as he was pictured having a great time on a three man dingy that was similar to a banana boat.

The Card Gallery offers a range of baby products for all those new arrivals, including birth announcement cards and baby photo albums.

Your Summer Themed Wedding

Filed under: Wedding Help & Advice — admin @ 11:31 pm

The summer months are often the busiest time for couples to get married. Generally you have a wider choice of venues, flowers and foods. If you decide to embrace the summer theme, it is a great idea to run it throughout your wedding day. Choose bright and energetic colours with fresh flowers and summer themed stationery.

Summer brides have the advantage of being able to choose dresses without having to worry about if they are going to get cold, picking ones that are light and breezy. Some brides also decide to accessorise their outfits with an elegant lacy parasol; this keeps the sun well away and also looks great on wedding photographs.
Also, if your wedding celebrations are outside, some brides decide to go bare footed! Paint your toe nails the same colours as the bridesmaid’s dresses and tie brightly coloured ribbons around your ankles for a really individual look.

Make your summer themed menu light and fresh. Combine a cold buffet style of pizza and hams or even a BBQ if the weather is appropriate. Choose rather fruity deserts, chewy meringues with fresh cream and fruit salad or banana split. Carry this theme along to your wedding cake as well. Imagine an inviting chocolate cake, covered in mini flakes with cherries and fresh raspberries, delicious!

For the wedding reception you can really go to town regarding your summer theme. Have centre pieces on the tables filled with glowing yellow lemons or why not even fill little buckets with daisies. Sprinkle fresh petals over the tables,  not only will this looks great but smell wonderful!

The Card Gallery offers a range of summer themed wedding stationery to suit your wedding scheme.

Our Guide to a ‘Low Carbon Wedding’

Filed under: Wedding Help & Advice — admin @ 3:30 pm

Shocking statistics recently revealed that the average British wedding produces more CO’2 than ten return flights to Thailand, with the average UK wedding on average costing nearly six times the amount as a foreign wedding.. Perhaps it’s about time we all started considering the damage we are doing to the planet before planning our special day.

The Card Gallery has put together top ten hints and tips to ensure that you are saving money whilst also considering our climate.

1: Keep it exclusive and intimate. Invite only your special friends and family. This tends to cut down on most general costs. Fewer guests means you will use less electricity and transport, making your big day more greener!

2: Consider where the majority of your guests are located in the country.. keep transport emissions down by hosting your wedding in the most popular area.

3: Keeping your honeymoon local will save you money, or if not take the train to Europe.. by all means try to avoid the dreaded aeorplane.

4: Thesedays with the internet and popular social networking sites, it is a great idea to send your invitations online. This saves on materials such as paper and glue, and best of all is free!

5: Vintage fashion is very much ‘in’ this season. Ditch that pricey new dress for a second hand, hired or inherited garment. This will make your wedding stylish, plus eco friendly!

6: Same applys for the rings. Vintage jewel’s are zero carbon yet stylish at the same time.

7: If hosting a summer wedding, try to do it in the outdoors. Air conditioners are expensive and very polluting to run.

8: Rather than heading to the local supermarket for drinks and food, why not opt for the local farmers market? Try to design your menu around what food is in season.

9: Ask around your friends that have already married and try to borrow things that you need. Purchasing less new items reduces your emissions hugely.

10: Ditch the limo for something less polluting. The choices of how you arrive are endless, from electric cars to white horses.. be stylish and individual yet carbon foot conscious.
