Coronation Street couple Tina O’Brien and Ryan Thomas were spotted during a day out for the first time with their seven month old baby Scarlett during a soap opera charity football event.

Mother Tina was dressed in jeans and a military style jacket as she unfolded the baby buggy which was complete with a number plate bearing her daughter’s name.

Scarlett looked very snug as Tina tenderly cuddled up to her during the event - the teams were made up of stars from Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Casualty, Shameless and The Bill. Her Dad Ryan, 24, carried her for a short while before returning to the pitch and his team-mates.

Tina and Ryan met on the set of Coronation Street. She left the soap in December 2007 but Ryan continues to play dim builder Jason Grimshaw. The couple looked very happy as they doted on their baby girl.

Tina was the first of a wave of Corrie stars to become parents in the last 18 months.

Her co-stars Julia Haworth (Claire Peacock), Alison King (Carla Gordon), Wanda Opalinska (Vicki Dankowska) and Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) have all given birth, while Andrew Whyment (Kirk Sutherland), and Jack P Shepherd (David Platt) have become fathers.

Meanwhile, the partners of Graeme Hawley (John Stape) and Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald) are both pregnant, as is Samia Smith (Maria Connor).

The gorgeous £240,000 dress designed by Italian Mauro Adami is made of 40 metres of fabric spun from silk and platinum thread.  Adami learned his craft in different ateliers in Italy and abroad, and says he has had a ‘passion for brides’ since childhood.

The wedding dress is in the window of the Wedding Ring Shop in Hatton Garden and is the centrepiece of the festival, held every year to celebrate the street’s history of artistry and craftsmanship.

ASDA has launched a £25.00 bargain buggy in an attempt to aid new mothers struggling with the recent financial hardship. A recent survay conducted by ASDA found that almost a quater of their shoppers were pregnant and due to give birth in the next three months!

Due to the economy, many couples are not able to afford to go out, and are settling for more cosy nights in. This reflects in recent statistics issued by the NHS…UK births have gone up by 3.3% during the past year, with 20,000 more babies being born than in 2008.

A shocking two thirds of women in the survey addmited that they have been unable to save any money for their new arrivals due to the financial climate thesedays.

‘With parents spending on average, up to £18, 000 on a child before its first birthday, having a baby is not cheap even when we aren’t in the middle of a recession.”
