Choosing your christening invitations

Filed under: Christening Invitations Articles — Diane @ 9:00 am

When it comes to your child’s christening, everything has to be perfect. Not only is this a hugely symbolic event but it is also when you will be introducing your new bundle of joy to the most important people around you – your close family and friends.

So planning a christening can be very much like planning a wedding. You need to arrange the ceremony and then arrange the celebrations afterwards and ensure that everything matches and ties in together.

This is particularly important when it comes to your christening invitations. These must be chosen with the tone of the day in mind. So if it is a relaxed day, then perhaps christening invitations with a design featuring teddy bears and soft toys on the front is most appropriate. Or if you’re planning a sophisticated and elegant celebration, then a black and white photo design of a baby’s feet provides an artistic alternative.

Whichever design you choose, ensure that it suits the tone of the day and also ensure that you choose thank you cards to match. As with a wedding day, you will want to thank your guests for attending the christening and baby thank you cards are a great way of doing this; particularly if you choose a design to suit the day and the christening invitations that you’ve already chosen.
