Wedding thank you cards – helpful ideas

Filed under: Wedding Thank You Cards — Jenny @ 8:37 am

Planning a wedding is all about being organised. Sometimes, it can feel like you need the psychic powers of Mystic Meg when you are planning a wedding because the only way to stay on top of things is to think ahead.

And, once your big day is over, despite you breathing a sigh of relief that all that stress has come to an end, there are still things to be organised. And the wedding thank you cards are just one of these things.

It might be that you end up with hundreds of wedding thank you cards to write out – particularly if you had a large wedding. In this case, it is a good idea to write the thank you cards as you go along. So each time you receive a gift, write out the wedding thank you card so that you feel like you are on top of the situation.
And, although traditionally, it is the bride who writes the thank you cards, there is no reason why the groom can’t do some of the work – so split the cards up and do half each.

The other important thing to remember is to keep a list of who you have written to so that you don’t miss anyone out, or write to someone twice. And when this task is complete – now you can breathe a sigh of relief.

Wedding thank you cards

Filed under: Wedding Thank You Cards — Diane @ 9:00 am

After all that planning, organising and stress, the big day is all over.

It went by in a flash. But it wouldn’t have happened without the help of your friends and loved ones. And without your guests, the day just wouldn’t have been so special.

So it is important that you show your guests just how grateful you are for their help and for being there to share you special day. It is also important to thank them all for the lovely gifts they chose for you.

It’s time to write your wedding thank you cards. As with the wedding invitations, there are several different designs to choose from when it comes to thank you cards and you can pick the one that matches the theme of your big day. Your guests will be thrilled when they receive one through the post.

But it can be difficult to know what to say.

It’s always a good idea to thank them for the gift that they got you. Mention each specific gift, to make the note seem more personal. Then thank them for coming to your wedding. Perhaps mention a particular moment that you enjoyed with them. All of this helps to create a very personal note that they will be really happy to receive.

Sending a wedding thank you card to all of your guests

Filed under: Wedding Thank You Cards — Jenny @ 9:00 am

Weddings can be particularly stressful and ensuring that you speak to all of your guests can be a logistical nightmare. After the event, once you have been on your honeymoon there are all the fabulous presents that you may have received that need to be opened.

Friends and family will have most probably bought items from your wedding list or things which they think will help you along during your married life. Some of your relatives you may not see again until another family event or Christmas so it is worthwhile sending them a short note to say thank you for attending your wedding and for their gift.

Wedding thank you cards can be customised to complement your wedding invitations and other wedding stationery. They are a perfect way to thank all of your friends and family for coming to share your special day with you and your partner and also to thank them for buying you a gift. Personalised wedding thank you cards will go down a treat with all your guests and they will appreciate that you have taken the time to thank them specifically.
