Using wedding evening invitations

Filed under: Wedding Evening Invitations — Dave @ 9:00 am

Your address book may be bulging and you may have a never ending list of people you want to send wedding invites out to but it is worth considering splitting your guests up into categories.

If you have hundreds of people that you want to attend your wedding, this may not be practical as the venue may not be large enough to cater to all these people. But what you can do is invite your family and closest friends for the actual ceremony and then send out wedding evening invitations to the rest of the people who you want to celebrate with.

Using this method, you will not be leaving anyone out because you will have the most important people with you at the ceremony to witness the marriage and then you can celebrate with the rest of your friends and family in the evening.

This is also a great method to use if you have family who you don’t know very well. To avoid any family members becoming upset, you can simply invite them to the evening reception so that they feel part of your big day.

It is important that you share your special day with all the right people, so by using wedding evening invitations, you can ensure that everyone is involved and gets to share your big day.

Celebrate with everyone by using wedding evening invitations

The number of guests you invite to enjoy your big day can depend upon a lot of factors.

One of the main constraints may be the venue that you choose. Some will be restricted with how many people will fit inside the venue so you will need to check with them to ensure that you know how many people you can invite.

Also, the number of guests you invite can depend upon how intimate you want the ceremony to be. If you want to be surrounded by hundreds of people to celebrate your big day, then you can organise this but some people prefer a more intimate setting with just close friends and family in attendance.

But if you are struggling to decide who to invite, you can make the process easier by splitting your day into two. The first section is the ceremony where your close friends and family members will join you. And the second section is the evening celebrations where other friends can join in and celebrate your big day. This way, everyone is involved in your big day but you don’t have to worry about space or other restrictions.

If you do decide to opt for this method, you will need to make it clear on the invitations exactly what each guest is invited to. A good way of doing this is to have wedding ceremony invitations and wedding evening invitations. This way, each guest will know exactly what their invitation consists of and you can all celebrate together.

Wedding evening invitations

Filed under: Wedding Evening Invitations — Diane @ 9:00 am

It is a hard enough task deciding the guest list for the wedding breakfast, but when you think all the hard work is done you then have to decide who will be attending the evening reception as well.

Numbers and cost are normally the deciding factors when you have to choose your attendees and the venue you choose will also be a determining factor. Most people invite the people who come to their wedding breakfast to the evening reception as well and then increase the numbers so more people can attend the evening party. Because of this you will need to send separate wedding evening invitations to some of your guests. The information in these may contain the date and time of the event as well as directions to the wedding venue.

Some wedding attendees may have specific requests regarding food or drink requirements and you should always try to accommodate these whenever possible. Because of this it can be a good idea to include wedding RSVP slips so the invitation can be returned quickly. This will make organising numbers easy and also mean any specific requirements can be catered to.
