Sending out wedding evening invitations

Filed under: Wedding Evening Invitations — Diane @ 9:00 am

It would be lovely to celebrate your wedding day with everyone you have ever met. But sadly, a lot of wedding venues are restrictive when it comes to numbers of guests and this can mean that you will have to forget the invite to that lady you once helped to cross the road.

If you are restricted with numbers when it comes to your wedding ceremony, then organise your guest list by first making a list of close friends and family and then adding any other people if you have space.

It may sound harsh not to invite certain people to the ceremony, but the way to soften the blow is by sending them wedding evening invitations.

These invitations will ask them to attend the evening event which will consist of a celebration to mark your union. This is the fun part of the day so anyone not able to attend the ceremony will be pleased to attend the evening celebrations instead.

Working out the guest list for your wedding can be confusing. But by splitting your guests into different lists and sending them wedding evening invitations, if they can’t make it to the daytime event, you will be able to keep everyone happy.

Entertaining children at your evening reception

Filed under: Wedding Evening Invitations — Dave @ 9:00 am

You may have decided to send out your wedding evening invitations, but the question of how you are going to entertain your guests has still not been answered.

You want the evening to be fun and you want your guests to be able to enjoy the entertainment, but it’s difficult finding something to suit all ages and all tastes; particularly when children are coming to your reception.

The key to keeping children entertained at your evening reception is by having a table designated for children. That way, children don’t need to worry about being quiet and polite at an adult’s table; they can have fun and entertain each other. You could even put a pot of colouring crayons in the middle of the table and give them a white paper table cloth to draw on.

There is always the option of a bouncy castle at your wedding reception. This is a popular idea for summer weddings. But you could also choose to entertain the children with magicians, clowns or children’s entertainers.

When sending out your wedding evening invitations, ensure that you decide for definite that you want children to attend your reception and make it clear that they are invited so that parents don’t feel awkward having to ask.
