We’re not always here to get you to log on to our website and get you looking at some of our gorgeous stationery (although we do try!). Sometimes we just like to share a story we’ve heard or some news we have, so we’d like to tell you about an organisation we’ve heard about called Wish Upon a Wedding.
Wish Upon a Wedding is the world’s first non-profit organisation, dedicated to providing weddings for individuals who are facing a life-threatening illness. Currently existing purely in the United States, they have 16 offices who are dedicated to making the wishes come true for new brides and grooms-to-be.
Wish Upon a Wedding celebrates the courage, determination and spirit of those couples by granting them their dream wedding wishes. Their hope is that the chosen recipients of the wishes can inspire other couples who are facing similar situation to find hope and strength.
What a lovely way to end a Friday!
Okay, so after our feature on wedding invitations, here’s some advice we found on how to be a little bit different with your save the date cards.
Taking a simple photo of the two of you, or even just a flattering picture of you, the bride, stating: I said yes!
How about a movie theme for film buffs with a cinema effect and the billboard: Richard and Jane’s wedding…coming soon!
How about this little ditty:
Richard asked her
Jane said yes
Now there’s a wedding
Will you be a guest?
or…
We’re tying the knot,
And if you may
We’d like you to join us,
for our very special day.
