The Basics of Save the Date Cards

Filed under: Save The Date Cards — Dave @ 12:31 pm

With so much choice on where to buy your wedding stationery, which designs to choose and what price to pay, it is important that you don’t forget the basic rules of etiquette and guidelines when it comes to all of your wedding stationery, including your save the date cards.

It is very important that your save the date cards include information which can affect your guests – such as a date which conflicts with a public holiday, a weekday event, or the ceremony’s venue which may mean that people have to travel a long distance.

Save the date cards are the earliest warning that you can give all of your guests as to what you have in store, and can help to facilitate a smooth operation when it comes to your wedding day.  Don’t underestimate how early you will need to send your save the date cards out either – just look at your own diary right now and I bet you’ve already pencilled in possible dates for holidays and other events.

Timely sending out of your save the date cards, coupled with the right information will ensure that you are as prepared as you can be at this early stage in planning for your wedding.

First and foremost when it comes to wedding invitations is the importance of ensuring that all your invites include all the information that is pertinent to your ceremony. Wedding invitations are the easiest means of getting your message across in terms of planning wedding ceremonies and are one of the most vital cogs when it comes to the smooth running of a ceremony. Picking the right time to send wedding invitations is also imperative due to the fact that if you send them too early, people may have forgotten by the time the big day rolls round but, conversely, if you send them too late, people may already have other plans that cannot be altered.
