Sending out save the date cards

Filed under: Save The Date Cards — Jenny @ 9:00 am

There is a lot of pressure surrounding the organisation of a wedding. You constantly feel like you should be planning and getting things finalised but it’s not as easy as you first might think.

And right from the very beginning, you feel pressured into making decisions and getting things organised. In fact, no sooner has the question been popped than you are stressing about sending out the wedding invites.
But with save the date cards, you can inform your guests of the big day without having the full details already organised.

Save the date cards are designed to be sent out in the early stages of the preparation. They simply inform the guests of the day and venue of the wedding. This allows your guests to put the wedding in their diaries. This is particularly important if you are having a summer wedding as it will ensure that your guests don’t double book themselves with holidays and that they keep their diaries free for your special day.

As soon as you know the venue that you will be getting married at and the date, you can send out save the date cards and then take your time to make the rest of the preparations before you send out the wedding invites.

Reserve your guests with save the date cards

Your boyfriend has finally proposed and now the race is on to organise the wedding. You’ve got so much to do that you’re not really sure where to start.

Well one of the first things that a lot of couples do is to decide when the wedding is going to take place. Firstly, you need to narrow it down to a season; so decide whether you want to get married in summer or winter for example. Then you need to decide on a date.

The minute you know the date that you want to get married, it’s time to let your guests know and that means ordering some save the date cards.

Save the date cards can be sent out to all of your guests, simply to let them know that you are getting married on a certain date. This allows them to put the date in the diary and it also allows them to make plans around the date. For example, if you’re having a summer wedding, they will book their summer holidays before or after your big day.

Save the date cards are a great way to announce your wedding and to also ensure that you are giving your guests a decent amount of notice.

Reserve your friends with save the date cards

Filed under: Save The Date Cards — Dave @ 9:00 am

It can be devastating if you organise your wedding day really carefully and then find out that your best friend can’t make it.

You have spent so much time organising every fine detail to ensure that the day runs smoothly and is as perfect as it can be, that you end up leaving the wedding invites until the very last minute.

Sending out your wedding invites is a really important part of the organisation because without any guests, your wedding could be a very dull day.

This means that you need to order your wedding invites well in advance of the big day. In fact, it should be one of the first things you do.

To make sure that all your guests can make it though, the best idea is to order save the date cards too. These can be sent out very early on in the wedding preparations to ensure that your guests can put your wedding date in their diaries.

You can send your save the date cards out even before you have booked the venue or anything else because the only information you need to provide is the date of the ceremony.

By letting your guests know early, you will avoid the upset of finding out that your best friend can’t make your big day.
