Combine the christening with your baby’s birthday

Filed under: Christening Invitations Articles — Jenny @ 9:00 am

The first year of your baby’s life can be a little hectic to say the least. So it’s no surprise that some parents don’t get round to organising their baby’s christening within the first few months of their birth.

If you are one of these families who have struggled to get a christening organised, then it might be a nice idea to combine the christening with your child’s first birthday.

This is a lovely way to celebrate a very special day and a great way to get all of your friends and family involved in a very special occasion.

If your little one’s first birthday is coming up, then you could start making arrangements to hold their christening too. Contact your local church and fine out when they are free to hold the ceremony. Once you have the initial plans in place you can then start to send out christening invitations. If you want to point out the double celebration, you could personalise your christening invitations to explain that you are celebrating the birthday and christening together.

Choose a design that suits the occasion as well as your baby and you will soon be able to celebrate at a very special occasion indeed.

How to create personalised christening invitations

Filed under: Christening Invitations Articles — Dave @ 9:00 am

Having a baby is one of the most exciting experiences of your life. The minute your new bundle of joy is in your arms, you just want to share him or her with all of your friends and family. You’re so proud that you want to shout your happiness from the rooftops.

Luckily, you virtually get to do that when it comes to organising the christening for your newborn baby. Finally, you can send out christening invitations announcing your exciting news to everybody and inviting them to join you in celebration at the christening.

When it comes to christening invitations though, you want to make the invites as personal as possible as it is a very personal occasion. A great way to do this is to choose your own wording and even to choose the font that you want it designed in. If you want to go one step further though, you can even choose christening invitations that you can personalise with a photograph of your new baby.

It’s easy to create some personal christening invitations when you choose the wording, the fonts and the photographs yourself.

Sending out your christening invitations

Filed under: Christening Invitations Articles — Dave @ 9:00 am

Sadly, your little baby is probably not capable of organising his or her own christening. So you as the parents will have to do all of the work to make their day special.

Of course this day is very important to both you and your baby, so it’s important that you plan ahead and leave plenty of time to get everything in order.

One of the first things to do is to get your christening invitations together. It’s important that you send these out in good time so that your guests have enough time to respond and also so that they can put the date in their diary.

There are plenty of different christening invitations to choose from and there are even some designs to suit certain situations such as if you have twins or triplets. You can find christening invitations that are pink for girls or blue for boys or you can find designs that suit either boys or girls.

It’s important to get the style of the christening invitations right as these are the first indications that guests will have of the sort of christening that you will be having for your child.

After the christening invitations there is plenty more to plan. But once you have an idea of who is attending, everything will fall into place a lot more easily.
