My Wedding

September 30th - Married!

Dear Readers,

I am now a Mrs!

Everyone has been emailing me to find out the good, the bad, and the ugly so I am keeping to my promise with an update of how it all went…

The Good – we both turned up so it was off to a good start!  There was an accident on a major motorway leading to the venue but luckily everyone made it on time and we only had a delay of about 20minutes so the last few didn’t miss the ceremony.  Joe loved the day and all of our lovely guests made him feel very important and special.  The food was AMAZING, and I even had to loosen my bodice a little at the back just before dessert to stay comfy – who says brides are too stressed to eat on their wedding day?  The food was too good to miss!

The Bad – the last few guests did arrive a little sweaty and flustered but this was quickly sorted out with a few tissues and a quick breather before the ceremony began.  Darren pretended he has lost the rings…so not funny.  In his defence, he was trying to freak out his best man, but the best man texted his girlfriend who told my sister…does he not realise how girls like to talk???

The Ugly – there was a lot of alcohol consumed and a few worse-for-wear guests at the end of the night.  But then I guess that’s what wedding celebrations are all about.   Joe over-indulged in the chocolate fountain and ended up being sick during the night – which we were blissfully unaware of as Darren’s parents were looking after him for the night, but I did feel bad for them when we found out!

All in all, it was a great day and we feel that we’ve now crossed ‘getting married’ off the list and can continue with our future together.  What that will entail it anyone’s guess, but we are looking forward to married life with our son and whatever that will bring.

Thank you again for all of your help and support along the way, it’s been a blast and I’m going to miss my stint as guest blogger for The Card Gallery.

This is Laura, signing off…
