December 12th - Getting Things Ticked Off the List!

Dear Readers,

The guest list has now been finalised – hurrah!  We have 75 people at the ceremony and 160 in total for the evening reception.  Speaking to friends and family, this seems to be considered a small wedding –even though I thought it sounded huge! 

I ordered my ‘Save the Date’ cards from The Card Gallery and now just have to get round to writing them out.  What with Christmas cards too, it’s harder than it sounds!  I went for a flower design in the end as I love lilies, so I have an image in my head of nice natural colours for the colour scheme, plenty of whites and creams.  That way, I thought I could always add an accent colour later if I want – although I’m not really a colour person.

So, I’ve had a busy couple of weeks where we’ve got the colour scheme, stationery and guest list sorted.  I think we’re going to put the plans on hold over Christmas so that we can enjoy a wedding-free Christmas.  Darren is more than keen on that idea!
